a 2.4 usually can have a 1km diameter. 500 meters each side in the safe side, 1.5 km diameter in the medium risky side, and 2km diameter could be the top limit of it, but some people have crashed between 1.5 and 2 km so... that depends a lot on the makers and the quality of the TX/RX used.
