  • A very fair impression of Roy Eldridge - pity they faded out "Let Me Off Uptown", though Rockin' Chair is almost as good

  • @dretety The thing with GK is that he made it LOOK simple, but it wasn't. He just had that undefinable gift - take a look at what he does on a matchbox in an old Barbara Stanyck film called "Ball of Fire" (1941)

  • Holy Smoke ! What poop !! Had anyone attempted to tune up! That drummer is about average, but not the chops for Krupas drumming.

  • I remember you mentioning this on Jazz Legends, looks like it was a fantastic performance. You had a great GK sound and look going, a fine centenary tribute it was.
