I understand your point of view! In my case my mom died in Oct. and she had severe arthritis and needed help! I know what it is to watch someone you love not be able to do what they used to do! I always ask if I can help before I do anything but some of us were taught to respect and help our elders! :)

@wade46732 I'm really not sure how to take your comment. Was the "joke" at the end with the smile emoticon a sarcasm or are you trying to tell me "fuck you I was taught to help my elders".?? If the latter is the case you obviously did not understand my point and my fingers I have left are too sore to explain it to you so pleas watch and listen closely again...or not.. I may be wrong of course and you're trying to lighten the moment or something....

@wade46732 Well, when it's an elderly parent and you know them well , you will understand their needs. I know you mean well wade and I have already made the assumption that you're the kind who does ask first so no worries, you get it........BTW, Sorry about your mom my friend obviously she's not hurting any more 'eh?

I find myself doing this as well.
And I'm kinda an asshole. That is what my wife says anyway.
But yes. A big part is slefish, so that I will feel better.
Like when you say to someone you know in passing "Hello, how are you today?"
It was hypothetical. I don't really want to know.
Maybe my wife is right.
hmm
Anyway you got me thinking.
Next time I hold the door for an old lady, I will trip her. You know. To balence things out. Don't want to feel to good about myself. lol

@4me2cclearly I'm told daily what an asshole I am for educating people on not sticking their nose where it's not wanted....in so many words :-)
