  • It doesn't show up on my phone....if I bought it from iTunes does that make a difference

  • @PatrickCageIIakaPjay Unfortunately yes. iTunes wants another 99 cents (some are $1.29) if you purchased the original from them.

  • ITunes 9.1.0.79 Does not have Convert to AAC Option :-/

  • @AgapeTubing You're right. There is no Convert to AAC that I am aware of. Just pick the file you want and go to Advanced-Create AAC Version (in the menu bar by Help). This will create a new file for you to edit. It's not really converting, just copying. I'm using 9.1.0.79.

  • how to make that in windows xp ?!

  • @GenM124 Not sure about XP. I haven't used XP in a few years.

  • Thanks a lot

  • Thanks man than you a lot.

  • @hazzail in the iphone options did you check sync ring tones?

  • For iTunes 9.X, there doesn't appear to be a "convert to AAC" option. This can be sidestepped using the free program Audacity by Sourceforge. Load original song in Audacity, crop to the times you want, then use File/Export As and save as M4A/AAC. (Or, alternately, you can set the start-stop times in iTunes, convert to mp3, then load that mp3 in Audacity and Export As, but you can crop much more precisely in Audacity.) Rename as M4R. Follow all other steps as in this video and it will work. :D

  • ii have the ringtones sittinq in the ringtone folder , i sync the iphone and check the tones in phone none of my custom show up , i did all the write steps. help thx

  • Thanks mate... Legend

  • Hi Cid, Thank you so much for this! It was excellent! Maybe you can help me on another issue? How can I correct the volume, if the converted ringtone is a bit too quiet?

  • Everything was find up until I tried to add it to my iPhone. It goes to my music section instead of my ringtones making it unusable. :/ What am i doing wrong?
