The follow up to The Kirby Stone Four's 1958 album "Baubles, Bangles And Beads", was 1959s "The 'GO' Sound", with the lead single being The 'I Had A Dream, Dear' Rock.
Around this time, the group was performing at Harrah's Club, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and so it was decided to use some publicity shots for the front and rear cover of the album. For this clip, postcards and matchbooks from Harrah's, along with a rare alternative shot from the front cover photo session are included.
Oh, you may be wondering, "What is the "GO" sound?" - Well, according to the liner notes from the album, it is "a feel.... an emotion... spontaneity, swing, swinging riffs, a beat.... a definite, happy free feel". The "GO" sound is definitely present on this track and it helps it sound as fresh today as it did when it was recorded 50 years ago.
Enjoy!
