  • I just wish a few of my teachers would watch videos like this.

  • @lokithebandit

We actually watched this video in our college class and no one had a clue until we got to the part of the video that told us that it was a cow, when everything then became clear. So yeah, it's probably youtube.

  • My friend told me it was a cow before I watched this and I still could not perceive it for the entire 5 minutes until the extra sheet came out. Brilliant way to illustrate the struggle in the minds of those with LDs.

  • @lokithebandit I don't think so. The first time I watched it here on YouTube, I had no clue as to what it was. When I showed it to my son, he couldn't see it, but I saw it immediately. The same thing happened with him the second time he watched it.

  • I think the youtube makes the cow easier to see. I was in a class with 30 college students, and we all had the same print out, and not one could see it until he said it was a cow. But that't the thing: To think that they are playing dumb is exactly what teachers do to LD children.

  • @sobeczech so was I :) ...I watched this in my class and there was some students that where not able to see it untill the man put the transperacy over it.

  • I love this video! And no they were not playing dumb, I tested this on 10 or so of my friends and a lot of them could not figure out what it was. It just proves his point I think.

  • I too could see the cow the entire time. Were they playing dumb for the sake of the speaker's point? Still, an interesting concept concerning perception, ability, motivation, etc.

  • @blardosplats You are exactly right. Educators have to be able to get through to the children. Some things that take place in the class room do not help students or encourage but discourage children. They also cause them to shut down and stop trying.

  • @sobeczech i agree i thought it was one of those 2 pictures in 1 type deal and i was looking for what the possible other picture was. yeah i saw the cow clear as day immediately and it seems like everyone would. maybe it has somethin to do with it bein on youtube and not in person.
