  • cool and let me know how it works out for you.

  • Will Do.

  • Thanks For That, I'll Give It A Try.

  • Thanks For That, I Use An Electric Fan on The Stack, Same As On My Meths Fired Ones, I Use Chacoal Soaked In Meths Then Intraduce The Coal, That Is When It Goes Out, I Maybe Putting To Much On At A Time. I Will Try It Like You Said, I Tend To Not Use That One To Often As I Can Spend About Two Hours & Get No Where.

  • ok here is what it's gonna cost ya, about three thousand pounds, plus the cost of the locomotive. so it's your decision

  • Thanks For That, I Know Of John Shawe & Seen Some Of The Loco's He's Converted & They Work Very Well, But That Is Something That I Will Consider Later, I Am Quite Happy Running It On Gas If I Can Make It Less Noisy. I Do Have A Coal Fired Engine & I Find It A Problem To Get The Fire To Light & Stay Alight.

  • Love the video! My great grandfather worked on the TH&B. It's shame they scrap the hudsons in 1956. Wonderful locomotive and layout. 10/10

  • thats a big ten four mate.

  • meth and charcoal do not mix. use kerosene or charcoal lighter fluid. it will light up faster and burn longer. anymore questions just ask me

  • what do you use to start your coal fired engine up with. soaked kero and charwood. if you do, here is the trick. after you light it wait about 5 mins, then start adding coal. about 5 scoops should do it. then let it burn for about 20 mins. check the fire again, poke it around then add another 3 scoops. and also use a battery powered draft fan. with the fan it makes the process easier. you basically stick it on top of the stack and turn it on when you light the fire.
