This originally aired on World Beat News on July 1st, 1996 to honour Canada Day. Sorry about the quality. I recorded this off my TV. The song is "This Land Is Your Land". Enjoy!

  • Aw, this is inspiring. This Land is Your Land is such a beautiful song, I'm glad Canada has a version...did Woody write it as well?

  • @trilobright Hi. Sorry for the delay. The only thing I could find was that the Canadian version was originally sung by The Travellers... but I don't know if they actually wrote this one or if it was Woody Guthrie again. :/

  • THANK YOU, for posting this memorable rendition!

  • I remember seeing this and loving it. Thanks for posting it.

  • would have been sick to see the Jays sing the first and last quarter, and see the Expos sing the 2nd and 3rd quarter in French

  • Strange thing is, they still had a great team on paper, but sucked that year. Not sure what happened. But yeah, I must have seen that video like 100 times back in 1996. :)

  • Those where the days. Cito was our best manager in MLB. And he loved Canada. All the Blue Jays players played there hearts out and loved Canada as well
