macs vs pc are hardly fair comparisons.... seriously I can get a great laptop with 17" screen - with great specs running win 7 home premium for under $500 ...seriously I would have to drop $1700 to surpass that in the mac line. you want to compare powerful macs vs great pc's you need to look at special vendors like boxx.

@lexarvn a pc owner can upgrade themselves or at any local pc store - which are everywhere. it's very cheap. also graphic cards are extremely important to the performance of some kines of games (not CIV!) and definitely important in my field (architecture). further you can build a very powerful supercomputer from graphics cards for under $25 k. look up fastra. as a person who works with macs and pc's I love the eye candy of the mac - but I really love getting under the hood in pc.

2. it's more difficult to infect mac OS. it's about how the operating system is designed. Which one is closer to be called an engineering masterpiece?

That quote was taken out of contex. The OS is the best, but everything comes out for windows. Plus you can't upgrade macs, and you can only buy them form apple (which is exactly WHY everything comes out for windows).
