If there is a way, I haven't found it yet. I think I'll leave them alone, as they don't sag as much as the Red Leader X-Wing.

this seems to be based after the yavin x-wing. if thats true i dont think the R2 unit has a name. he didnt get the R5 mynock (aka gate) until the reformation of rogue squadron in 6 ABY.

I got mine at zellers for $50+ canadian mine came a tad broken the back piece the grey part where you move the tab for s foil positioning, was askew so down the right side i gad a very noticable gap. so i pulled it apart and fixed it but alas my front landing gear keeps swinging down un wantedly:( and the r2 unit won't stay in if you turn the ship upside down....

@dalekbitch If you think about it, those two figures included would cost like $14 separately, so the ship is really only like $30. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway. =P

That was an R5 unit...they had "flowerpot" style heads. Think the one that blew up near the Jawa Sandcrawler in ANH (which Luke mistakenly called an R2)

Re: The seat: It seems that they didn't actually do away with the seat hatch, they just assembled it differently, by hinging it on the other side, so that it folds back and not forward. My guess is that this was either A) a screw up on Hasbro's part, or, B) a conscious choice to make it easier to fit this particular figure in. I disassembled mine and corrected the seat hinge so it's positioned just like all the other x-wings of this mold. Looks a lot better and the figure sits better.
