Love the video, I am going to check out the rest of your videos now, and just watching definately makes me remember what it was like when I was in JKD like 5 or years ago. I miss and am looking for a school where I live and going to join up as soon as I can. Thanks

What does Hubud mean?

The term translates something like "to tie and untie" and it is often used as a nickname (ie-Hubud Lubud) for the hand drill we are doing. There are variations all with the goal of flowing; give and take in that tight range.

Low kicks are not an American modification. Low kicks are a main principle of Wing Chun, does that mean that the Chinese are fat and not flexible? No it's just a different view of combat. I think high kicks are a waste. Kicking to the head is like punching to the foot, a complete waste of my energy.

Hey I appreciate any feedback and understand Wing Chun is all about conserving energy and being efficient. You probably could see the strong influence from W.C. in the clip. My comment was directed more towards the Base Technique as perpetuated by the TRACY SYSTEM (i think). The base technique targeted the floating ribs or possibly liver where as adjustments were necessary for some or just preferable for others. Anyways, did you ever see the Croatian UFC fighter making thousands kicking heads?
