  • totally bad to the bone there. sounds beautiful burn out. whats in that z? gone

  • the Z has a chevy 350, with nitrous

  • A supercharger is a blower kid. And a turbo would essentially do the same thing so i dont know why you say that. And it isnt nitro its nitrous. Do you even have a car?

  • Not to mention a Turbo would help more than an SC.

  • @howderjason

well actually i do, and iv been learning about some of that, but i sold my firebird and got an 06 GTO but at the time i thought a blower was just an intake, and nitro for me was just short for nitrous, thats all lol

  • Okay it's an auto. All stock motor or cam? What times did it run? I'm all motor 456 RWHP and was thinking of this if I could do it. I'm 10.8 compression...

  • trans ams make me wanna touch myself

  • With a SC you get the benefit all the time. They both kick ass though. Nice bird

  • With some good DR's, Higher boost and a higher stall converter that car could do very well

  • @TransAmPhantom to created 40 pounds of pressure per square inch (40psi) inside of a huge V8 would mean you would need to flow HUGE amounts of air into it. You would need turbos the size of that Outlaw Mustang (basically the size of large pumpkins). Then you run into the problem of turbo lag.

Very simple terms, it takes less airflow to make 10psi when you need to fill up 2 liters than it does to fill up 6 liters. Overall airflow determines power, not psi.

  • 5.7L....

  • @integragsr ok then a 40 psi single turbo on a set up ls1 sounds vicious? haha. and yes i am jokin =) but hell this is an interesting topic.

  • to put it very simply, more displacement can make more power from less psi; less displacement will need more boost to make a similar amount of power

  • you don't need large psi on high displacement engines to produce a lot of power. 5psi thru a 6 liter V8 is flowing more air per minute than 10 psi on a sub 2 liter (i forget the exact displacement of the RX7 rotor). Anyway, it may also not have a fully built engine so the head could blow off or a wall could get scorched or something if there was too much psi thru the engine without forged internals and stronger head bolts etc.
