Here's a gem from 1969. This is aptly titled Gang War by The Corner Boys. They are from Philly and the streets of Philly have been crazy since the 1960's. This is really one of my favorite groups masquerading as The Corner Boys. It's The Formations (At The Top of The Stairs!!). I have another Gem by The Formations I really love. Anyway, follow me on Twitter. http://www.twitter.com/grouchygreg Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/grouchy or the mighty, mighty, http://www.allhiphop.com
They were not The Futures. They also recorded as The Formations and Silent Majority.

When this record came out, Philly had the worse gang problem in America. I went to see them perform at the Arena on 46 & Market, along with the Mad Lads, Delfonics and others. If I remember correctly it was 1969. The night was going fine and all of a sudden the floor cleared and a man was stabbed in the back dead. Can't remember who was on when he got stabbed but I remember when The Corner Boys came on they said We Don't Want No Gang War and the crowd roared. That was before the incident. Eerie.

Outstanding! I didn't think I'd ever hear this track again. I'm in my early 50's and don't remember but the title verses. but I remember The Morrocco's, Seybert st, 12th Poplar, 21st Norris, Wallace st and the Valley. It just don't make no sense...,

This sounds like a sequel to "Run away child running wild" by the Temptations
