The emotion and the passion are all coming through the soundand through the fingers. No fuss, no artifice, just brilliant music playing, and art of interpretation at his highest level.
@marcelmombeekpiano Well, the great rubinstein WAS and still IS very GREAT.His comments are far more genuine and non-biased unlike yours..You see Marcel..you become isolated with your opinions. You must feel very lonely and frustrated.
In an interview with one of the judges on the panel, the great 'Arthur Rubinstein' after the very young Pollini won the 'Chopin' competition, Arthur said... 'The boy can play better than anyone on the panel, me included' then very soon after came the 'Chopin Etudes' recording, and it is not just perfect playing, the engineering and production of the Steinway, is equal to his interpretation... And also thank you Mr Pollini for the 'Petrochka and 'Prokofiev: Sonata No 7 recording':)
@marcelmombeekpiano : That you insist that nothing is 'in his heart' betrays your own emotion-controlled mind state, one dictated by empathy, 'emotional intelligence' and other such stupidity. This rendition is technical brilliance at its brightest.
