Skygrabber is a Russian software that Iraqi terrorists are using to intercept Predator drone video feed. In the video are the Predator drones that Skygrabber is being used to target. Skygrabber is generally used to steal video feed from satellites. US military did not believe that Iraqi terrorists were sophisticated enough to use Skygrabber to target drones.

  • Oh so by persecute you mean murder lol

  • interesting... where did terrorists in iraq get laptops?

  • @Tanarune

They were thinking that they wanted ground troops to be able to access the feeds from the drones above them in battle.

Encypting the stream makes this more difficult. From whati understand the control strea mis encrypted however the video feed is not.

  • "Prosecute" them? Fancy way to say you hide behind TV screen and kill whatever your boss tells you. There is no honor in killing people.

  • @Revelation47 Yeah, simplify it with an arrogant lie.

Read on the terrorists' own websites how they want to kill every one of us that wont bow to Allah (translate arabic Al Jazeera, not the propagandized English version), and how they brag about being the AGGRESSORS, not the DEFENDERS, and how they rejoice in killing American civilians, then come back and argue. Until then, keep your smartassed mouth shut.

  • @WalkingArmory I think you confuse "people" with "Radicals in religious fanatical groups previously trained by the CIA and armed by Russian military surplus who say on their own websites they will destroy America and kill all who do not bow to Allah". You mean those poor, innocent people? Get back to your silly college protest group, pretend to be worth something.

  • @Tanarune What makes you think its NOT encrypted?

Read news right from the DoD website before you open your mouth. ANY encrypted stream can be broken if enough data is intercepted and processed with a good GPU ($5k setup), its the same as having physical access to a computer. It also has NEVER done anything negative to missions, save for POSSIBLY eliminating element of surprise. The ONLY issue the DoD is dealing with is a keylogger that was PHYSICALLY attached to their frame over there.

  • What if a rogue were to arm one of these drones with a nuke and then turn the drone around, thus sending it toward U.S./Allied interests? Theoretically, a subversive operative could defeat the onboard ECM (Electronic Counter-Measures) and evade U.S. Intelligence, leading America and her Allies to believe that the drone is heading in the right direction, whilst it would be hypothetically vectoring in the opposite direction... alas hijacked and then re-armed w/ nuclear weapon. That would suck ...
