i'm still trying to figure out what that rear wing is for. down force? up thrust? advertising space? i wish somebody knew.
-
Lauda no front wing I guess it did not matter who needs wings when u have ground effects.
-
Those where the days when you couldnt miss one single F1 race... unlike now...
-
"...got past Lauda by the novel method of declining to brake for the next corner, he drop-kicked Arnoux out of the race. Arnoux hardly laughed at all."
That's Clive James for you.

@DanWilkie90 Have in mind that the fuel flow will be reduced so the cars will actually be less powerful, so that the teams are encouraged to use KERS. I'm not too sure about this.
-
This was the real Formula 1 !!
Ground effect and Turbo engines...
-
@darkoneforce2 Well, you got your wish eh, theyre going to do exactly that from 2013 onwards :P In 2013 they're going to reintroduce Ground effects + turbo + Small front and rear wings = More overtaking and much closer racing, plus cars that are much harder to control, and I can't wait lol
-
So from what i see, alfa and mclaren back then are kinda like Rosso and RBR now right?
-
Ground effects + turbos (with variable boost) = actual passing, on street circuits.
Make cars like this again, but with modern safety.

"which ensures a driver must lay his life on the line before being told it was all in vain" LOVE IT!!!
