  • It wasn't stupid and it wasn't an attack. It was the straight up truth. Military service no matter how honorable doesn't automatically quality someone to be president. Grandpa Mccain didn't hold any leadership positions and didn't make leadership decisions while in the navy. The GOP and the media twisted Gen. Clark's words into something that they weren't.

  • I have to play Devils advocate.

Who's he to say "you should make them accountable, take them to court" without looking to Iraq. Where's the international court to judge those WMD's and Anthrax and what not else made up. When will Bush, Cheney and goons be held accountable? Do that and then ill agree with what he said!

  • Why wasn't he on more shows talking about this. As naot commander he has more knowledge on this issue than any other commentator

  • For security's sake be able to take all this into account, we must before all things understand the subject of Legislation for it is on a country's laws that its whole welfare depends. He must therefore, know how many different forms of constitution there are; under what conditions each of these will prosper and by what internal development or external attacks each of them tends to be destroyed. When I speak of destruction through internal developments I refer to the fact that all constitutions,

  • All constitutions, except the best, are destroyed both by not being pushed far enough and by being pushed too far. Thus democracy loses its vigor and finally passes into oligarchy not only when it is not pushed far enough but also when it is pushed a great deal too far; just as the aquiline and the snub nose not only turn into normal noses by not being aquiline or snub enough but also by being too violently aquiline or snub arrive at a condition in which they no longer look like noses at all.

  • At 4:05 it shows weaponry

Were these the weapons Israel sold them?

Are these the reason for the Russian peacekeepers?

  • I agree with driubi and disagree with W.Clark on this. I don't often agree with Pat Buchanan, but he is correct...Why do we insist (the Cold War is over) on bringing NATO to Russia's doorstep and incorporating Georgia into it? NATO to protect us from WHAT? Why do we want Georgia in?

GEE, could the answer have something to do with Central Asian oil?

Do you think the Russians are happy that they have NATO to the West and perhaps south, and American troops in Central Asian Reps to the East?

  • remember when the soviets were planing to build a missile base in Cuba how we almost nuked the whole world because of it, these double standards must stop!

  • I think Wes clark ws too mild on McCain.

Here are a few harsh truths, McCain is like Bush an absolute faulure who coasted on his name and fathers influence, If you graduate 894/899 from Naval academy you would not be a fighter pilot (transport maybe) also after losing 3 planes a normal pilot would be grounded, McCain lost 5. Ergo I blame his father for his capture/POW, If he was not the son of an Admiral, McCain would have been grounded long before losing his 3rd plane let alone 5th.

  • I agree w/ all your points here.

  • Sorry, my comment wasn't that clear. When I was talking about the "attack", I was just trying to summarize what happened into one word. I agreed with General Clark. My statement was less of an attack on Wes, and more a statement of forelornment.

  • Why is no one chastising georgia for attacking south ossetia? Why is no one mentioning the missile system in poland as a destabilizing force in the region. Don't these idiots realize that putting the blame entirely on russia is just going to polarize the situation even further? I'm disappointed in clark.
