Yeah I was there when Load was released, and as a person that once believed Metallica were the riffmaster end all be all of awesome in metal, I can safely say I can barely tolerate even the old metallica as a result. I don't even play them on guitar anymore... because what fun is it when they've destroyed your metallica spirit with ten bad non metal albums and bad greasy haircuts. There are no more "guitar standard" riffs to ever again be developed by James Hetfield. The black album was the last

@satanicaputa metallica lost the benefit of the doubt when they released load, and alienated ALL of their fans with bad music and overproduced covers for 20 years. They literally haven't been the band that they used to be in pretty much a lifetime.

Death magnetic its simply 'BORING'. Not the worst metallica album since the worst is st anger. But that's just my opinion everyone has their own. But still metallica is one of the greatest bands out there, even tho they ain't the band they used to be.

death magnetic fucking sucked. metallica needs to crawl back into the whiskey bottle before they decide to record anything else.

@gravedarkind - That's a nice thing to say about a band who took the band you're listening to out on tour after said album came out. Seriously though, I know that Metallica isn't as great as they used to be, but they are still a pretty solid band and DM wasn't terrible by any means.

Well, a difference in musical playing preferance seems to be interpreted as a lower-skill nowadays... it's annoying.
I like this album AND Death Magnetic quite a bit.

Not really. I enjoyed Death Magnetic greatly, and that had nothing to do with money. It was more to do with the fact that- shock horror- I actually liked the music. ZOMG.
