This campaign for the Hyundai Sonata (2011 model) was shot on the 5D Mk II.
We produced three commercials each of which had a teaser version where the Hyundai badge was replaced by a question mark prompting the viewer to consider what their expectations are around luxury brands of motor vehicle.
The question mark was modeled in 3D and then motion tracked into the shot. Check out the teasers to see the end result.
We had a great time making these commercials - we wanted the commercials to have a unique look amongst all the other car commercials we're seeing out there.
Andrew Lang and James Armstrong were a fantastic team to work with.
Andy Rice recently gave the campaign a "Hero" on The Ad Show on 702 - making specific reference to the confidence displayed in running "expensive television commercials with no branding whatsoever".
