Finally flat ironed to start documenting my hair growth. I was VERY satisfied with the results. The Ceramic Silk doesn't have the best smell or texture, but it works.

I LOVE the proclaim Argan Oil. It's light yet moisturizing. What more can you ask for?

Products used (see my Dollar Tree/Sally's Haul video for more info):
One n' Only Ceramic Silk Thermal Protectant
Proclaim Argan Oil, Hair Oil Treatment (only 1.69 for the sample and I didn't even use 1/4 of it!)
Coconut Oil
Jilbere de Paris Ceramic Crystals Flat Iron (only $39.99)

I only flat-iron every other month or every 2 months.

Peace & Blessings,
KG

  • So you wear your hair straight most of the time then? Considering you flat iron once a month. I BC'd 3 months ago and i plan on wearing my natural hair straight 90% of the time. So im considering flat ironing once a month and no less. Hopefully the humidity wont work against me (I live in the tropics)

  • @parristar I used to flat iron every month, then I went to every other month. Now, I haven't flat ironed since November. Once you see the difference in your hair when you stop flat ironing you'll want to start limiting the heat. I'll flat-iron again of course but for now I'm sticking to stretching my hair (see my latest vid) and styling from there. If you do flat-iron try to stick to once a month (don't go over it again) even if it poofs up, just work with it! It will be worth it!

  • so can someone help me on the steps:

    its putting the hair protectant

    then placing water on scalp

    then putting the argon oils

    and then straightening

    is that right?

curiously whats the argon oils for if u've already placed the protectant?

  • @fosaae Those steps are in the right order. The argan oil is for EXTRA protection. That practicular one has silicones in it and silicones create a barrier between your hair and the heat (protect).

  • Hey you remind me of drake a little bit. Nice music

  • love the music and pretty results!

  • @thekglifestyle thanks :)

  • Hmm...I feel like with your texture and your blowdry results you could probably get away with using a lower heat setting :)

  • @thekglifestyle thanks for the help :). my hairs damaged mainly from use the flat iron and i'm really looking to get it healthy again. thanks for uploading this :)

  • @tyaV1 I agree with this. My hair reacts only mildly to the humidity. Everyone's hair is different but keeping your hair moisturized (so that it's not soaking up the moisture in the humid air) will help prevent it from getting frizzy.

  • @DJShannonSupreme 3c, 4a, 4b....but as I cut my heat damage off I think I'm more of a 3c. Don't really get caught up in it. As long as it's healthy I'm happy.
