@TheReilly8 Hey, sorry to raise something from a year ago, but someone just pointed out to me that I made an ass of myself by calling you a know-it-all noob when you were dead right about this. I'm sorry. You have a great ear, too.

@acr08807 actually i think you were meant to apologize and praise the other guy thereilly8

@Sirkillsalot22X I think the only mistake here is your comment. Take care

He did a clinic here in Vancouver a few years back. I hadn't heard of him prior to that. I thought he was absolutely awesome. He played a song he had written for his daughter. The melodic nature of the song was just mesmerizing. The man is certainly far more talented than many of the contemporary mainstream artists.

@Sirkillsalot22X Damn, you have a good ear. You're right about the difference in the chords. I think both sounded good, but the way he played it in the intro did sound better. Country-style picking isn't at the top of my list, but I'd kill to have talent like this, too. So this is probably the first and last time you'll see this sentiment expressed in a youtube comment, but you were right and I was wrong.
Doyle Dykes is a god at guitar, and the songs he writes actually sound good as songs instead of just random guitar solos, despite the fact that he can outplay most guitarists who play lead in the big time bands. And by most I mean all.
