do you maintain the hardness of the water and the ph levels chacked ? or do you just change the water every week? im plaiing on gettin some platys but idk if the hardness of the water is going to affect them

I just do weekly water changes and cleaning on out tanks. Our water is pretty hard, but the fish are fine.
