  • @ChaplainC "If he had not had that winch on there, all he had to do was hit the accelerator and that thing would have setllted right down for him. Then again, practice makes perfect."

That is correct! That's what you have to do, otherwise this is what you get!

  • i done that in my disco you look to high for down hill twists hope you got no damage keep the old girl going good luck

  • you bunch of girls I have a unimog myself and that was nothing you where putting it through bad lines and bad advise

  • ha i fill for you i did the same bend this year 2010 i got around it just by lettting the brakes off just as it started to tip on went down ok my mate behind did not role, but could not straten up in time and hit the trees to the left and stoped side on to the slope and blue his tranfer box and clutch and the 3ed 4x4 took 40 mins to get back up around the bend because he was all most rite over on his side and did not want to come down it

  • @ChaplainC Yeah, bad placement for the cable definitely caused it to roll. Looks like there were some pretty deep ruts and also a big rock too.

  • @unimogman404 Too right. If he had not had that winch on there, all he had to do was hit the accelerator and that thing would have setllted right down for him. Then again, practice makes perfect. Bet he won't make that mistake again. That is if his wife lets him get anywhere near a dirt road again with that thing. (no offense)

  • A beautiful vehicle.

What you have here is a case of simple winch misplacement. If he had tied off to a location further aft of the trail he intended then it would have held that end down, in this case the winch likely contributed to the roll over.

I just wonder why he had a winch in the first place. It does not look that slippery.
