This is the ultimate rendition of this song, perfect in every way. While never released on CD, and only on DVD, I was able to professionally rip the audio from the DVD so I can have this entire show wherever I go. If you have never seen Crowded House live, or Neil performing a solo gig, do so, you won't regret it.

To call this man a genius is an understatement. In my Top 5 songs of ALL TIME. When artists used to roam the planet!

He was at the peak of his powers at this point in time. His voice was so pure. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone as relaxed and comfortable on stage. Simply fantastic.

First song I ever learned to play... And it still sounds as fresh as it first did! Xxyy

OMG I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS FUCKING EVERYWHERE ! WOHOOOOOO!

This song doesn't need any more production or instrumentation than this.
No wonder nearly all that have covered it (James Blunt, Boy and Bear, whomever) have seemed to have some degree of success with that cover.

Compelling!! Can't stop watching once the clip has started...
This may be my favorite version of either Neil or Crowded House performing this song live. Where was this filmed?
And yes, he is simply brilliant as a songwriter and musician.

This is from a DVD called 'Sessions at West 54th' it's a must have for any Finn or Crowded House fan. Available from Amazon I think, I got mine from them. Neil plays loads of Crowdy songs plus most of his 'Try Whistling This' album. Almost as good as the 'Seven Worlds Collide' DVD

Assuming you haven't already seen the for mentioned Seven Worlds Collide DVD, if you enjoyed 4th Sessions DVD then Seven Worlds will blow you away, Tim and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) do an incredibly beautiful version of the Split Enz song "Stuff & Nonsense" the whole live concert is just magical start to finish. If anyone's thinking I must work for the Finn's record company or something ( I wish) I don't, just like to spread the word.
