Hey, I'm from Ontario! I agree with Mark Steyn and do not think Obama was a good choice for the American people AT ALL. But I know that I am in the minority. *Star power* is a flat out deception for foolish people. It's not intrinsically worth ANYTHING, yet so many people drop at its touch. Oooo shiny! Mark Steyn is a loyalist? I don't believe his family background contains ancestors who were Americans loyal to Britain during the Revolutionary War and immigrated to then British North America thereafter. Perhaps you meant to use the term "Anglo" or "English." Loyalist refers to another group of people. And please inform me as to who in Canada they ruled and beat with sticks? But I digress, the First and Second World Wars had very little impact of Canada or the shaping of global events.

I lobe these clips from Steyn. He's factual, reasonable and funny. It's hard to argue against what he says because he doesn't engage in a lot of hyperbole. He's too reasonable and logical, which is I suppose why he's a conservative.

Some more loyalist hate speech against Québec. No matter how much we do, they'll still think they naturally deserve to be the ruling settlers with a long stick.

I guess it's very annoying we're so much more successful on the international than they are... and come to represent what Canada is as a whole, by default. They'd rather take us back to WW1 and WW2 to make a worthless point and ignore all our achievements.

A Canadian is so many different things. They are very American-like in Windsor for example. You get different accents all over the place. Flat, diluted Irish for example, and slight country drawls. I am Canadian, don't feel very American but feel they are allies for sure.

Plus there's a lot of inter-border exchanges. My great-grandfather was a Canadian from Prince Edward Island who settled in the US.

Canadians are basically Americans who don't want to admit it. We're just as fat, just as relaxed and probably stupider because there is at least a group of people in the U.S. who doesn't follow all the crap propogated by Liberal stooges like Jon Stewart and Micheal Moore.
