    I'm tired of DOA fans attacking tekken acting like its Inferior when it so clearly isnt. Until a while ago I had no negative feelings towards this game I was even considering buying it but the comments made by the vast majority of DOA fans mirrored that of Itagaki which claims tekken is the worst game ever made when its so blatantly evident that its far superior to his virtua fighter clone. Just know that I'm not saying this just for the sake of saying it, I'm merely reciprocating.

    I've bought this over Tekken but why this ridiculous arguing over which is better? I personally prefer the fighting system in this but you can't deny that Tekken is an absolute classic of a game and is also an awesome game at that. Stop your bitching and whining and just appreciate BOTH games.

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

    Forward+Hold will counter medium kicks. Up/Diagonal+Hold should counter high kicks and punches. Down/Diagonal+Hold should counter low kicks and punches. Back+Hold for medium punches.

    I haven't played the current DOA5 build, but I believe this is how the counter system will work in the final build.

    Could you maybe explain the 4 point counter system more b/c I've never actually used it in a DOA game. So you still have the 3 punch counters (pressing the back button), but how do you counter different ranged kicks if it's only a 4 counter system (rather than 6). Will pressing forward+counter work for any kick?

    The current build is a 4 point counter system - which is pretty much what you described.

    Forward is to counter kicks, back for punches, etc.
