10 years ago world leaders made a promise to fight world poverty. They're failing, but we won't let this drop!
These promises - the Millennium Development Goals - are supposed to be met by 2015, but they're seriously off track. The way things are going, the promise to halve the proportion of people living without sanitation in sub-Saharan Africa will not be met for another 200 years!
WaterAid is calling on world leaders to stick to their promises. We need 50,000 signatures. Join us and tell world leaders "Don't let it drop".
This film features:
Goldie, Michael and Emily Eavis, The Duke Spirit, Corinne Bailey Rae, The Cribs, Kate Nash, Foals,
Salif Keita, Biffy Clyro, Amadou and Mariam, Emmanuel Jal, Joshua Radin and Faithless. Thanks to all artists for supporting this campaign.
Directed, filmed and edited by Dave Depares.
Produced by Beth Jepson and Mel Tompkins.
Music: 'The Fun Powder Plot' by Wild Beasts.
This video was a little protracted and perhaps in need of more information, however, the basic point is a strong one that's worth remembering. It makes me laugh when, in the south of England, we're told there's a water shortage. The realities of third world life help put that into perspective.
