Handstand V and Handstand Butterfly

Please learn how to invert and learn how to do so comfortably before attempting these moves.
As with all my inverted moves my left ankle is in front of pole and my right foot is behind the pole. If you are used to the other way round, please swap around left/right in the tutorial.

Make sure you warm up first.

Note: Pole dancing, like other forms of sport or physical activity, involves risk of injury. I'll try my best to provide the best advice and information to minimise these risks, however, this responsibility is ultimately yours. Take care, and don't over push yourself. Always start from the bottom and work your way up. DO NOT attempt a move that you are not ready for and ALWAYS warm up first.

  • Is the electra pole any good?! . . . I have one but i just havent put it up yet

  • @BettiePageMe i heard they are horrible. Not very safe. Stick to xpoles or platinum stages

  • Question - I'm getting my pole soon in Chrome (I would love to have it in silver titanium...but US only carry TG or Chrome >_< ). Do you recommend a 45mm or 50mm? Thanks!! ^_^

  • @iMechie It depends what your goals are with pole. Do you want to compete, or do u want to do it for fun?

Overall, I recommend beginners go with the 45mm as it's easier to grip. It's always ideal to have both sizes to practice with but the 45mm is more pleasurable to use. If you really want to challenge yourself use the 50mm
