David Goldman's Decision Day

On decision day, Brazil's Chief Justice is expected to make a ruling in the international custody battle to return 9-year-old Sean Goldman to his father David in the U.S. Manuel Gallegus reports.

When I was in Brazil I found that things in govt move very slowly compared to the USA. But that's Brazil. The people are wonderful and I loved being there.

I am glad for Goldman but I have not seen any news regarding the other family. All I have seen are allegations of abduction and kidnapping by the American media which has a great history of overstating the facts (Judy Miller).

Why isn't the news reporting about the kind of care Sean has been getting from his Brazilian family?

some ignorant people blame this whole mess on all brazilian people...come on you bastards..you can't blame a whole nation for some people mistakes ( typical american rush judment)...anyway I'm ghappy little Sean is reuniting with his biological father, although I'm not a big fan of him ( heard hi's kind of a bum!!!..)you better get a real man job if you want your child to be really proud of you!!!

@glentubin hell yeah! i spent 50k to recover my daughter from argentina (abducted by her mother)was not an easy battle but LAW IS USA IS REALLY STRONG (a child who born is America and live the first 3 years from the time the child born must come back to their original country with his/her other parent-full custody) only if the child was born in the other parent's country (The court case is complicated and almost LOST CASE)

Anyway! A child who was born in US and the parent (father or mother) take the child over 3 months out of US Territory without the other parent legal permission is against the law (it's abduction)The Law is US is like that, you like it or not is like that, no matter what kind of people are in Brazil,Argentina or any other country which are in the same Hague Convention, if people dont know about this, is because there IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO never have a THEIR child abducted out of US.

The American TVs very appealing, not to be trusted at all. Still show the boy's face. In Brazil this is forbidden by law because he is a child, just so you see what they are and what they can do, so nobody likes to Americans around the world.

After watching interviews with David Goldman I could see that he forces himself to cry ,which , looks disgusting and it is clearly fake. I believe he loves his son, but he loves even more the media attention and even more the profit he has made with his case (150 K just from his son's grandparents). He does not owe any attorney since he made a exclusive deal with CNN and had everything paid if not more..It is a shame that David uses his own child to make a profit .Shame on you David.

I recently saw the episode where NBC flew David Goldman to Rio to pick up Sean. Obviously David Goldman has been screwed over by big money. I have seen the whole story and agree that Sean was abducted and his mom's family used the court system to keep David from his kid.

However, the boy is more Brazillian than American and he's going to go through a very heavy transition in New Jersey. Such a shame for everyone and his mom is to blame

A child is placed with a mother and father by God,A child is not for sale...If a mother passes on to our lord the child goes to the father unless there is proof he is no longer alive or able to care for the child ,if so then the courts consider the grandparents.End of story...David had every just right to have his child,it was up to the grandparents to do the moral thing for the child if they loved him.I thank God david has his son..
