4-strokes like this (with/o) a muffler.
reason engine sounds like it should have bubles comming out of it, is do to hearing the exhaust valve opening. if you have exhaust extensions or mufflers, it would take care of that..... The os 320 4-cyl is really bad for this... when idling.... If you take a motorcyle and take the muflers off, it will sound the same way... (full scale that is)

RADIALS are the easiest and least dangerous RC airplane engines to start!....
no one I know that hand starts them uses a chicken stick!....
usually a thick glove on though....
I will be picking up the Saito 325 5Cyl and the 200Ti inline!
Can't wait!
