underage laws actually lead to MORE drinking
look at euro countries its all legal there, and kids dont go crazy over drinking the way they do here in the usa
so if you make something such a no no
youth WILL find it an insidious dark pleasure to be had at all costs
more prohibitions = more deaths

its true what u say. do u have any ideas for laws? and what do you think about parents giving a glass of wine to kids of 13 + at dinnertime if they want it.

as is, minors are allowed to drink in private establishments, religious cerimonies, and a few oher exeptions, therefore if the minors don't leave the house in which they are drinking, and have concent of the parents that they are drinking, there is no harm, and no foal

The drinking age needs to be lowered to that of most other countries (16-20yo, usually 18). Lowering the drinking age will give young adults more responsibilities, allowing them to drink in safer - controlled and open environments - instead of teen parties. I'm 20 yo, and I can have a casual drink in almost every other country except the United States.
This is not something your government should have to decide, it is for you as a parent to see what your child/teen is doing and then decide for yourself what you think needs to be done.
Not trying to be ignorant, sorry for your loss.

I protected my child from running into streets, pencils into electrical sockets, etc, He trusted me and his friends parents to protect him. These parents were negligent for allowing underage drinking in their home. What decent human being drags a child already unconscious and bleeding and dumps him in the back seat of his car? In my opinion that is called murder. It is time our government steps in and starts a national awareness on this epedemic.

The easiest way to fix this is to get rid of the drinking age all together. There has to be something more pertinent to the Country on your mind than the drinking age. Please. Wake up.

I will wake up if you can give me my son back. When you experience the death of your child due to negligent parents allowing underage drinking, get back with me and we can discuss it. Nothing is more important to me than grieving for my dead child. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

Stop underage drinking or put parents in jail? You are asking two different questions. If someone came over to your house and got drunk and then drove their car into a family, killing them, can we throw you in Jail? Or just parents who let kids drink at their house. The U.S. drinking laws cause more problems than good, plus the fact that most U.S. citizens are retarded.
The only way to stop underage drinking is to have no drinking age.

If I let kids drink in my house and they later die due to my negligence , oh yeah, I need to go to jail!!!!. Any parent that allows this should be held responsible.
