  • @beautifulmollies So, basically the maxorb had fallen and thankfully the holder at the bottom was still there because I'm pretty sure it would have busted my graphics card. Word to the wise, always look for a lighter solution to cpu cooling. These cpu coolers are ridiculously huge.

  • It's a good thing they posted this. At first I thought that the motherboard would have to come out to remove the bracket. Just a bit of a warning. I've had my pc since 2009 and already, the maxorb bracket at top portion where the plastic has to slip through the metal holder at the top of the maxorb has completely broken. The maxorb is way too heavy for this cheap plastic bracket. When it came loose, my pc immediatly shut down to prevent damage to my phenom 965.

  • yeah good vid. totally covered what the instructions did not. :D

  • The specs of the MaxOrb clearly say that it is compatible with Intel 775 socket MoBo's, so I decided to buy one of this, but, to my surprise, when trying to install it on two different MoBo's (Intel D915PBL and ASUS P5E3 Premium) it simply didn't fit at all because the "universal retention frame" doesn't have room enough to go all the way down... this is such a big design mistake.

  • great video thermaltake :P
