This biker flick was actually a prelude to getting Jack Nicholson his big break on Easy Rider, effectively ending his B-movie days. The rest is history. You can see in these scenes the Jack in future movies. He'd been acting about ten years at this time. The movie used extras from the Hells Angels and Nomads in San Francisco and Oakland. Lots of bikes and fights and actually a plot. And with this movie, Jack went into the sunset...For DVD see http://cinephile.blujay.com

  • I always wanted to get a motorcycle and just ride from state to state. I always thought it would be so awesome to just get on a bike and ride through out the country.. Im still in my 20s so maybe one day ill be able to get a harley or another kind thats similar and just ride like I always dreamed of since I was a little kid. Both my uncles have harleys N they been riding for like 25 or 30 years. Well hopefully maybe one day I can make my dream come true N get a harley N drive across the country

  • @nywarlord87 That is a wonderful idea, and it sounds like a great experience meeting all kinds of people from the different areas of the country. But take this from the voice of experience: time passes fast. Someday never comes. What do they say in Latin? Carpe Diem (sorry if I misspelled that) seize the day you will never be in your 20s again. Go for it!

  • Remembers When sex was safe and motorcycles were dangerous!

  • @SuperIntuitive1 you and me both!

    gmt

  • @SuperIntuitive1 I don't know what a ducatis or hayabusas are, but your description of eardrum rupturing Harley is excellent! They do just that. What a great graphic description. I always say, words are power, too.

  • @EdwardCullenBabe95 Yeah, and he fit right in with the riders.

  • @mxferro Yeah, but Roth and the HA had a falling out. I believe it was an issue over Choppers magazine.

  • @mxferro Naw, I'll take the bikes back then (with their 5.00X16 or 400.X18 rear tires). Choppers today are too radical (too much rake/stretch/fork). No rake, shorter forks (six inches or under) and smaller diameter tires (like on the bikes in this flick) work best. Too many bikes didn't run front brakes back then -- dumb idea!

  • I saw some pa la la loooooooon tang on that sidewalk

  • @mxferro Those are gay.

  • old engels better ,more politik ,emoschen ,tobay now onley mony.

  • And to think.. Ed "big Daddy" roth during this time with turning out some truly great and off the wall choppers! ... what fun it must have been

  • can you imagine having one of today's, wide rear tire totally tricked out choppers back then??? you'd be king of the road!!
