Ahh, I can't believe I'm actually weighing-in on this...
Sorum is actually quite a skilled drummer. You have to remember he had actually been around the L.A. scene during the same time as his future GNR bandmates. So, it's not like he was just some bum in off the corner when Slash saw him playing with the Cult in 1990. His problem, I've always felt, is that he was too polished for GNR, compared to who he succeeded. But, I don't think his skills can be downplayed at all.

@ebonics4everyone I agree, but Slash was and is opposed to electronic stuff. The only song he used it on was beautiful dangerous ft. Fergie and that was because he wanted to fit her style. The reason Slash left GNR was because axl wanted more techno electric stuff.

I'm just worried that if GnR really did get back together they'd bring techno elements into their music like Slash did on his solo CD or Axl did on Chinese Democracy. If they did that, it would be better that they stayed broken up forever.
