@micha747 i used the same citric acid that crazyNCman showed in his video. i tried the grenade 3 times but the first two times the pressure didn't build up enough, so i reset it. the third time i tightened the grenade even more and added a little more baking soda to make it detonate faster

i was dissapointed with this grenade. the first time i used it, the top half of the grenade blew apart sending the pieces flying. And, the bottom half didnt even blow up. Instead, it was pressureized while missing the top of the grenade above the screw on part. i had to smash the bottom part to get it unpressureized, therefore, wasting the shell

@k97c Could you tell me what kind of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) you were using? Is it possible that you were using a baking soda with other ingredients in it? If this is the case than this is the reason why it didn't explode. Using a not pure sodium bicarbonate will result in a too slow build up of pressure which will also not be enough to let the bottle explode. The result might be a damaged detonator because it has to hold the pressure too long.

@micha747 i used arm and hammer baking soda, which is pure sodium bicarbonate. and the detonator isnt damaged, it blew apart. and it didnt take long to build up pressure, as soon as i released the spoon and the tube opened it started to pressurize. the detonator blew apart about five seconds after the grenade began to gain pressure

@k97c OK, so it's not the sodium bicarbonate. How about the citric acid? Did you use this or something else? How many times did you try the grenade? Did you get other results when you tried it again?
