The M&P 45 is actually just a little thicker.

good vid! sexy guns!

If your not comfortable with the thumb safety, they make the safety plugs for the safety, which can be removed at home, for about 3 dollars. The mag disconnect safety can also be removed at home.

This is my xmas present. So pumped.

i have that same mp 45 ambidextrous. I love the gun shoots very well with hjp and fmj. Flawless very light for a full size 45. Low recoil when shooting too. Must buy

I retract my previous statement. Did not know that smith and wesson made factory 14 round magazines.
-
I love m&p, BUT i would pick a glock 30 before i chose a m&p45. Same round count, but the glock is more concealable. I think m&p should work on that magazine. They could easily fit 13 rounds in the same size mag.

Great info and review man!...would you expand more about why you prefer one w/out the thumb safety? thank you
-
I have read several reviews saying that the spring in the14 round magazine wears out very quickly and will not feed the last 3 rounds.

That 45 is sexy as hell man. Im a glock head but I may get the MP 45.
Very informative, thank you for that, my question is whether or not the Crimson Trace lasers will fit on the 45? If not i'm leaning towards the 9mm or 40

@jones1072000 The same LG-660 Crimson Trace fits all fullsize M&Ps. So you can't go wrong... heck get one of each. They are all excellent.

hows the 45 mp full size for ccw? you think it would be a good size to carry? I have big hands and the compact mp's grip doesnt really fit my hands well. thanks for your time.

@rocknrolla81 I think it can be on the big side but with that said I carried it fairly often. It's not any thicker than the 9 or 40 so I think you wouldn't have too much trouble.

Great video!. I am looking at buying a M&P if I buy a 9mm over the .45 ( both full size) am I doing myself a disservice? and what Ammo would you recomend for both cals?

@mrcaptain93 I don't think so. I love both the M&P 9 or 45. I would say it's all personal comfort with the particular gun. And of course practice. With the smaller caliber I would also suggest that shot placement becomes even more important so again proper training and practice are essential.
