@wichitazen While that applies to a lot of his later recordings, you should listen to his early Decca ones. The 1938 recording session, the 1947 Paganini caprices recording (the first one in history) and the 1950s concerto recordings (the Prokofiev ones stand out) are extraordinary.

this is a fantastic recording. I love Heifetz to death, but that mustache does not suit you one bit. I hope he didnt keep it for very long haha

when recording machines was first invented, some people worried that it would destroy music by giving each artist's recording a ranking. For me, Art is very subjective and saying who is the best simply doesn't make sense.
