  • @roughrider040 Hi, just wanted to say glad you enjoyed visiting my country and sorry some barman was rude to you. Come back again!

  • Continued: I learned to drive on the left hand side of the road, right side of the car, by waiting for another car to get in front of me & then just follow him & do exactly what he did (as long as he was going the same route until I found another going our way & then just followed him! Clever!) We rode horses on Brandon Bay beach, toured Ross Castle, Muckross mansion, hit many pubs (Drank lots of beer!) The weather was perfect, only 2 days of slight drizzle. Loved our cottage. We miss Ireland!

  • Continued: We rented a Ford Galaxy (which was a mini van) and did a LOT of touring. My wife and daughter wanted to go to the beach on Brandon Bay and I ended up getting stuck in the sand. Some nice people helped pull me out with their little truck and I ended up ripping the dust cover loose from under the engine because it was plowing the sand when being pulled in reverse (OOPS! Good thing we bought the insurance, huh? He he he!) Oh well, wife's fault! Toured the "ring of Kerry", Killarney, etc,

  • Update: WoooHooo!!! We had a blast! Loved going to Ireland and doing all kinds of things! We found our family castle remains and I smuggled two 5 inch stones out of the outer wall and brought them home with us (one for my mom and one for me). Dingle was AWESOME! Murphys Ice Cream IS the BEST! The people there are all very nice (except some bartender at Murphy's Pub was kind of rude to us, but oh, well?) Tom's hot dog cart next to Murphy's has good sausage dogs (even though he's from England).

  • im nortgern irish i almost didnt wanna come home,id go back :) if i had a good car id fart about after i got to killarney but i wouldnt hit more than 30mph per might spoil the scenery or end up bottom of a valley lol. i luved the scenery was in dingle 2

  • A feature that brings the sights and sounds of places around as well as inside DingleTown. If you visit you really should venture west of dingle rather than just the town, a day trip is just not time enough.

  • Oh my GOSH! I watched this video and it almost brings tears to my eyes. You see, my wife, daughter and I are taking both our mothers to Ireland in June of this year for our first time. My mother is a "Ferriter" and I cannot wait to take her to her motherland for her to find her ancestors like Piaras Ferriter (look him up on Google Earth under "Ferriter") My mom is full blooded Irish but none of us have ever been to Ireland. This makes me PROUD to be more than half Irish! God bless Ireland!

  • Gorgeous. A wonderful taster of a beautiful place. Thank-you.

  • kerry, i love you and miss you. love the blasket islands. love dingle. i feel so oh.

  • well done
