Im not defending the accuracy of the meter. I don't have a second DC meter to check against and I never thought to squeeze the clamp. But Ill be you are measuring a pulsed current. Maybe from a battery charger? The A/C amp meter will pick up the Pulsed current but Ill bet it does not pick up straight DC. Try it with just a battery, no charger.

No I didnt mean accuracy , I just walked in the door from lowes with a new true rms Ideal (only 80 bucks) , another video in a minute.
