Demonstration of Doughty Drive units arranged in an A/B axis configeration.
The router is a 1 HP Ryobi with a 1/2" cutter, feed at 80" per minute.

  • Wow, that's nice. One question though, why not turn it on a lathe for 3 minutes to take away more of the extra material. I'm sure a nice turning job could shave off a lot of time for that part. Those were some deep cuts. Nice job!

  • Sounds like the spindle is a little bit underpowerd for the feedrates choosen on the first cuts.

  • Fabulous technology (except for the Ryobi router which probably needs to be replaced after every piece). I'm in the market for a 3 axis. Thanks for posting.
