@buzzkill27 You never know. I recall them saying that the melody for City of Blinding Lights was originally conceived around the time of Pop but was never finished. Smile is good, Flower Child and Love You Like Mad though in my mind were a bit cliche and not up to normal standard of U2. They sounded unfinished to me. I do love Mercy though :)

WAS ALREADY CUT FORM THEIR LAST ALBUM
Please youtube these other U2 songs cut form the last two albums...you'll be as mad as I was that they cut them....

Mercy was cut from the album, but they may decide to finish it at some point and there's a chance (though slim) that it may find it's way on to the next album. The three you mention were officially released as part of the 'unreleased and rare' part of the Complete U2, but Mercy wasn't- it has never been intentionally released by the band.

it was 'leaked' about two years ago- has not been officially released- U2 have been quoted as saying there may be a reworked version of it on their next album. you're welcome- what do you think?
