Day 2: the previous home-owner, Tim, stops by and gives some food for thought about demolitions. The bulldozer runs all day, sometimes within a long arms reach of my house. Add to that an assortment of drills, trucks, workers and friends, and it makes for quite a full day.

How these heavy equipment operators deal with such noise and vibration for hours astounds me. It took me days to recuperate from what you see here; yes, my auric field was disturbed. And we're not finished yet: next is filling in the hole left by demolition; and later: grading, rolling and seeding the ground and planting trees.

Music: "Number One" from www.freeplaymusic.com
You'll also hear a small part of a song I wrote about living on the W.O.W. (more later) and a neighborhood ice cream truck...

  • So why were the demolishing all of these wonderful houses?

  • The nearby hospital continues to purchase surrounding land ...and buildings... and demolish them for expansion....

Thank you for watching, WB :)

  • Hi, Very well put together.

And as was said, they(the greedy developers) are ruthlessly tearing apart our societies for the sake of making money at the expense of our sense of belonging and health.

In other countries, buildings that are centuries old are still standing and well cared for. No waste.

Until the US changes its attitudes it isn't a nice place to live anymore. I'm not buying here.

    Take care.

  • Thank you, StMeade, for your compliment here and your comments. There is so much more that could be addressed in our U.S. society; so very much!

I'm reminded here of that line...'if you're not part of the solution, then you're a part of the problem...'

  • Great series wonderfully filmed.sad to see a gem like that go.

  • Hi, and my thanks to you; I couldn't agree with you more.. at least the woodwork, porch, and other trim was reused...

    Thanks!

  • "If it's not being built, it's in the process of falling down..." A philosopher grew up in those houses. What a sweet man.

  • Sending out some orange and pink to your poor beleaguered brown aura.
