ahhh, Enya. Used to drive me nuts listening to it while boarding pax. If only I knew then what I know now. I'd listen to Enya forever if I could have my airline and job back!

I completely agree. I was with Ansett for 12 years - the best 12 years in my working career so far.

Air travel has been degraded by cheap value based airlines who outsource everything and therefore take ownership of nothing - including service and professionalism. I too would look forward to taking a flight, not having to pay for every conceivable thing - next thing will be to pay to go to the loo!

Nice thoughts mate but unfortunately the majority of the travelling public pushed for airlines like Jetshit, Virgin & Tiger. They are businesses satisfying a growing demand for cheap/affordable airfares. I too dispair at the disappearance of a time when air travel was exciting and looked forward to going for plane trip weeks in advance. Now its virtually a bus service. A real shame.
