  • I just bought a Trinity Pan ($17.95) and will practice with it over the winter. I

have dirt, saved black sand, and of course, gold to salt the entire mix. I'll

count flakes first to ensure that I have the right technique before going out to

Quartzville (OR) in the spring. Always go prepared before going out with new

equipment. You newbies take heed, wherever you go to pan.

  • @wildirishman21 yea it sux for us here in MI; no high bankers, no sluice boxes, no dredging, cant even disturb the banks of a river/stream let alone dig in them and you are only allowed to take and posses 15.5 grams per person/year here!

Glad I grabbed a 60 acer placer claim in NV and will starworkinggn the he|| out of it next spring.

  • you can use a sluice at the creek. people that say you cant sluice in ar creek are hippies that say you should not do anything in the wild!

  • Shame on you for using a sluice. You might as well have stolen it.

  • @MrSportscard Agreed.

  • No sluicing allowed on Lynx Creek. Makes it tougher for people following the rules to find gold.

  • Livin the dream! You guys are awesome. I live in Michigan and there are no opportunities to produce like that!

  • I was wondering if you were on bed rock? Very impressive! Maybe sometime we could team up probably not but I have a 3 in Keene high banker dredge combo to suck that bed rock clean. moorewilliam 73 @ yahoo.com

  • YOu guys suck for getting all that gold! save some for us will ya? lol

Nice job though. BTW you seem to be running your sluice a little fast.

  • @htommyh You are right, NO mechanical devices WHATSOEVER on Lynx creek.

These guys are on private property "different rules" than FS land.

If the Ranger catches ya sluicing, Ticket time!
