Some sights from my 12th consecutive running of the Marine Corps Marathon, 35th annual edition on 31 October 2010. It's also known as the People's Marathon as no prize money is awarded, the field is made of amateur runners. Entry was capped at 30,000, about 22,000 finished the 26.2 mile course beginning and ending near the Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington, Virginia and winding through the heart of Washington DC. The MCM started in 1976 and has grown to the fourth largest marathon in the United States, eighth largest in the world. NOTE - all comments heard are by other runners and spectators, not me...
