Loss Prevention Officer and the Holding Room c*ck-up

Chap has been detained for taking a case of Budweiser bottles.
Security Officer in black, assisting Loss Prevention Officer in white, is sent to assist colleague with a fight that has broken out in the store (Urgent call).

Chap empties pockets onto chair and produces an extremely large piece of cannabis resin.
The Security Officer's departure is seen as an oppurtunity to lash out at LPO who was looking at the cannabis and the guy's money, thinking "Is this guy a mentalist?"

(The answer was "Yes, he is a mentalist" - Although known to police (15 previous, mostly Domestic Violence AKA 'Wife beating') he'd been out of trouble with them for 6 years.
He then blows it all by shoplifting £9 of beer whilst having a Class B drug and the cash (£30+) to pay for the stolen item in his pocket!)

Needless to say, he gets a good shoeing for what he did.
Magistrates awarded the LPO £300 compensation when this went to court.

Chap got 200 hours community service, a 6 month prison sentance suspended for a year, fined and obviously had to pay the compo as well.

talk all the shit you want about LP. but think about this the next time you do. LP (loss prevention) varies per store but averages 1.45 million a year in restored merchandise. That saves the typical shopper 25,000 in a life time. If you wanna pay out 25,000 more than you need to by all means your an idiot. LP saves the store money which in trade saves the shopper money. Think before you speak.

@samboni10 Because they don't deal with same type of people and situations as people who are pussy about stopping crime, LP, security, and cops customers steal, and punch us in the face. And we do something that we generally love and have a good time with it. There are plenty of teachers, cooks, and all sorts of people who give themselves such a sense of entitlement. Thats why you gotta give it up to these guys, they deal with scum, and get more ridicule than praise, and they still love it.

@samboni10 in a real world, how one were to conduct themselves, all depends on the situation or person that's being dealt with. Some times that authoritative behavior is required to bring the situation in control, but if someone is co-operating then yea it's not required. Again it depends on the situation.
