NYPD Harassment in Harlem

These officers stop and frisk these two young men on 149th st. and Broadway. They ask the men for their id's then proceed to frisk and search the mens bodies and clothing. After finding nothing the officers still take down the mens information which they pass on to an arriving patrol car.

@ALLThingsHarlem don't you think about 80% of harlem IS either black or latino. You can't really pull the racial card when the neighborhood is only 10 or 20% caucasian

@oatmeal20122012 Actually Blacks lost their majority in Harlem in the last few years. But we are referring to citywide statistics. These stop and frisks are not taking place in other neighborhoods outside of Black and Latino communities where crime is up and drug use/sales are equal to or greater than our community. It's not a race card. Its statistics and racism. Do some research and check it our for yourself.

@nisan97 cause there are over a half million stops and frisks a year like this in nyc. 90% leading to no arrest/violation. 90% black and latino. its not a disrespect to the officers cause they have quotas and are told to do this. The problem is with the practice they are being made to carry out in specific neighborhoods. this would be wrong anywhere but it only happens in specific communities. do you think these officers would have done this to 2 white females sitting on a bench on wall st.?

Another police force that stops and frisks asking for identification with no probable cause is the Cuban National Revolutionary Police. This is the National Police of Communist Cuba. Police there can stop anyone and ask for ID without PC and frisk. They make up any violations of their laws to arrest people for nothing. I thought this only happened in 3rd World Communist countries or dictatorships. Not in the USA.

Cops frisk Negroes in Harlem because that's who the criminals are. Until Harlem is knee-deep in crime caused by red-headed guys named "Duane," or beanie-wearing "Moshies" don't expect this to change. Duh.

I consider a cop asking for my ID when I did nothing wrong, like a cop asking me if he can pull one of my teeth out for no reason. And I refuse the order as such. I give them a hard time every single instance of harrassment. Eventually they will leave you alone when they realize you are not one of the sheep that believe they are here to "serve and protect".

Treat every cop that bothers you as if he or she were a nazi just doing there job.
