  • Stephan, where is your academy?

  • @wrxbungle I don't actually have an academy. I teach once in a while at friend's schools, as well as teaching online and via my DVDs. That allows me to concentrate on my own training. Not the traditional 'solution' I know, but it works for me...

  • is this a class you run or a seminar? where did it take place? do you instruct?

  • @tp0721 This was from a three day seminar I taught last year. I fillmed the whole thing and put it out onto DVD as the Advanced Techniques and Tactics series

  • i think maybe this move is like the beginning of the rubber guard, possibly for people who might not be flexible to reach their own ankle

  • @ConicalRamirez It's not so much the specific entry as it is the concept of

leading with the knee rather than the foot. You can apply this concept to ANY omo plata entry

  • nice

  • After 2 years now I can really get this.

    Good!

  • Stephan, you seem pretty pro..I personally think you should have your own academy.

  • is it better to hook the nearest leg with your foot or the outiside leg?? it looks at though it might be harder for him to push your foot of with his free hand ( for the outside leg)

  • Good video, excellent points of view on how an omoplata attack should work at different situations.

  • StephanKesting is the man

  • stephen, you've got a lot of knowledge, looking at your videos. what's your history in bjj/jiu-jitsu etc? great vids btw :)

  • Nice video

One question: What about leading with the foot but hugging your shin, would that work?

  • @StephanKesting couldn't you simply wrap one of your arms along his lower back/waist area to keep him from rolling out?
