oh.....this is the same locos i saw at north melbourne entering South Dynon Yard.......B74, T333, T....., & S303 (i think)

@ASDEV1L South Dynon loco or North Dynon yard but definitely not South Dynon yard.

its great to see these locos still running. but the It suprises me that in such a devoloped country we have 60 year old loco's doing the work that 10 or 20 year old locos should be doing.

@nosmoking099 To get new ones built you need cash or long term contracts to take to the bank. The GFC made going to the bank just that much more difficult. One G will be on the BG any day now which will put an end to seeing six in VR colours up front. Rumours are about re a few other big units but lets wait and see.

Nice video. Wasn't the EMD SD7 introduced in 1951 the first to have 6 powered axles?

@Trainbrain1949 It seems that I have been labouring under a misconception and yes the SD7 was first. The Australian GM class and the ML2 were both derived from the SD7
