schwinn beach cruiser motorized bike project part 1 (over half finished)

I custom fit a 66cc motorized bicycle engine in the frame of a schwinn beach cruiser bicycle.

even tho the bike is from walmart, I inspected all of these cruisers and this was the best one. they did a pretty good job putting this one together i would have to say.

Warning if u are to build one of these bikes you have to take the rear sprocket to a machine shop so that they can ream out the center hole for the hub

hey man i have the same thing but mine wont start anymore ive bought new spark plugs an stuff for it but theres just no kick to it .. you got any ideas ???

@bfauteux well??? does it make a spark? if not it could be a few things, ur wiring could be wrong, ur cdi could be bad, or even you magnito could be bad. if it does make a spark, u could have a carby problem?

Hey man nice bike, Got a question! A buddy of mine picked one up and we were riding together ( i got an old 1979 Puch), his wouldnt idle, when he stops it turns off but when he clamps the clutch down it stays on, can these builds idle?

@Simonov5966 yeah if u disenguage the clutch and set the idle screw on the carb.

@Simonov5966 sounds like he needs to adjust his cable. when u push the cable thru the clutch lever, grab the cable with some pliers and pull it as far as u can and then tighten the set screw on the clutch cable. after all that get it running and adjust the idel screw. hopefully that helps ya.

hey dude, I found that the sprocket mounting was the easier of the other tasks..the clutch adjustment, throttle, mounting, & clutch lever was a B to finish..the stock chain exploded yesterday so i'll have to replace it with a heavy duty one. hopefully that's it in terms of problems. I just wanna ride off into the sunset. haha
